Privacy notice
This privacy notice tells you how personal data is processed in connection with the website maddy.support and the services offered through it.
1. Controller
The operator of the website maddy.support is responsible for the processing of personal data under Swiss data protection law.
Privacy requests can be sent to:
kontakt@maddy.support
2. Website visits and technical data
When you visit the website, the hosting provider (GitHub Pages) and the DNS/CDN infrastructure (Cloudflare) process technically necessary server log data. This may include in particular:
- IP address
- Date and time of access
- page / file retrieved
- browser type and operating system (if sent by the browser)
- referrer URL (if sent)
Processing is for the technical provision and security of the website. Maddy.support does not evaluate this data for marketing or tracking. No cookies are set for analytics or advertising, and no consent banner is used.
3. Fonts
The fonts on this website are served locally from our own server (GitHub Pages). Loading the pages does not open a connection to Google or any other external font provider.
4. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process the details you send (in particular email address, name, content of the message) to handle your request and for further communication.
5. Enquiries via the forms
On the Community, Business, Clash File and Helion pages, the website uses the details entered to create a mailto: link locally. Clicking it opens a draft addressed to kontakt@maddy.support in the local email program. At that point, the website sends the details neither to Maddy.support nor to Web3Forms. The details are transmitted only when you send the email yourself; the privacy terms of the email providers involved then apply.
Please do not include confidential details or confidential documents in these email drafts.
Community and Business — data collected:
- Name
- email address
- requested package (optional)
- short description of the support needed
- confirmation of the privacy notice
Clash File — data collected:
- Name
- your firm
- business email address
- name of the target firm
- website of the target firm
- country or competent commercial register
- date of the planned first meeting (optional)
- concrete question or known inconsistency (optional)
- confirmation that only publicly available sources are to be reviewed
- confirmation of the privacy notice
Helion — data collected: answers to the enquiry form questions about the firm, service, offer, missing foundations, decision-maker, time pressure and terms.
Topic Dossier: Only the enquiry form on the Topic Dossier page (German and English) sends the name, email address, question, deadline and optional further information to Maddy.support through the external service Web3Forms (web3forms.com, operated by Web3Creative). Web3Forms processes the details as a processor to forward the enquiry by email. According to Web3Forms, submission data may be retained for up to three years (dashboard visibility may be shorter by plan); server logs are deleted on a regular basis. Further notes: Web3Forms privacy policy and Data Processing Agreement (DPA). Processing may involve infrastructure in the United States (AWS); the DPA provides Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers.
Purpose of processing: handling the enquiry, communication and, where relevant, preparing a business relationship. Sending the form is without obligation and not yet a paid order.
If transmission of the Topic Dossier via Web3Forms fails technically, the form content is kept and the website offers a fallback to the local email client via mailto: with the details already entered. In that case the data are not forwarded via Web3Forms, but appear in the draft email to kontakt@maddy.support.
6. Payment processing via Stripe
Maddy.support uses the payment service Stripe to process payments for paid orders (in particular Clash File and Helion). Once you have returned the signed order confirmation, you receive a Stripe payment link. Payment is made on a payment page operated by Stripe; Maddy.support does not receive full card or account details.
The payment page collects in particular name, email address, billing address, company name and VAT/UID number (if provided) and details of the chosen means of payment. When the payment page is opened, Stripe also collects technical data such as IP address and device and browser information.
Maddy.support receives from Stripe the details needed to match and book the payment (e.g. name, email address, billing address, amount, date and status of the payment).
Purpose of processing: handling the payment, matching it to the order, bookkeeping and meeting legal duties. According to Stripe, Stripe processes these data as a processor for Maddy.support and, where allowed, also for its own purposes, such as security and fraud prevention. Depending on the means of payment chosen, details are also passed to the respective payment provider; its privacy terms then apply.
According to Stripe, personal data may also be transferred to other countries, including the United States and India; Stripe names, among other mechanisms, Standard Contractual Clauses and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Further notes: Stripe privacy policy.
7. Retention and deletion
Personal data are kept only as long as needed for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention duties. Enquiries and correspondence are as a rule deleted or anonymised once handling is complete and no legitimate interests or legal duties stand in the way of deletion.
8. Disclosure to third parties
Personal data are disclosed to third parties only where this is required for operating the website, communication or meeting legal duties (e.g. hosting, DNS/CDN). The external form service Web3Forms is used only to transmit the Topic Dossier form; details are in section 5. The payment service Stripe is used to pay for paid orders; details are in section 6. There is no transfer for advertising.
9. Rights of data subjects
Under applicable Swiss data protection law you have in particular the right to:
- access the personal data processed
- rectification of inaccurate data
- deletion, unless statutory retention duties stand in the way
- restriction of processing
- objection to processing, where applicable
For such requests please write to kontakt@maddy.support.
10. Changes
This privacy notice may be adjusted where needed, in particular if the website or the services offered change. The version published on this page is the one that applies.
